Site Survey and Coverage Assessment
We perform a comprehensive site survey to assess signal strength on the roof and throughout your building. Leveraging advanced signal analyzers, we meticulously evaluate both critical areas—such as stairwells and fire command centers—and general areas to ensure compliance with fire code requirements. Our process verifies 99% coverage in critical areas, 95% coverage in general areas, and evaluates outdoor signal strength to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
Components of the Assessment
Baseline Signal Testing
Our team performs in-depth testing to determine if your building achieves the minimum signal strength threshold, as required by standards such as IFC Section 510 and NFPA 1221.
System Hardware Review
If your building has an existing ERCES, we inspect all components, including Bi-Directional Amplifiers (BDAs), Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS), and backup power systems, to ensure they meet code requirements like NEMA enclosures and minimum power standards.
Compliance Reporting
Following the evaluation, we provide a comprehensive report detailing current coverage levels, code compliance status, and recommendations for corrective actions, if needed.
Coordination with Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJ)
To streamline compliance, we work closely with your local AHJ to validate testing results, secure approvals, and ensure your building meets all applicable fire and building codes.
Ongoing Testing and Maintenance
Regular system inspections and testing are crucial for maintaining compliance. We provide scheduled maintenance to ensure your ERCES remains operational and ready when needed.
